Securus Technologies Inc., a distinguished provider of criminal justice and public safety technology solutions in the US has entered in a supremacy battle with its main competitor Global Tel Link (GTL). This was after GTL announced that their services are of the same standard with those Securus provides. While responding to this malicious claim, Securus chief executive officer, Mr. Richard A. Smith called upon GTL to accept the challenge of having a private judge decide which company is superior regarding using sophisticated and modern technology which guarantees quality services to their clients.
He added that Securus in the last four years had reinvested more than $700 million in acquiring new companies, enhancing their products through modern technology, and developing state of the art customer service center while GTL had invested very little in modernizing their services.
- Securus has developed comprehensive products for correctional facilities in the US.
- Securus has a fully equipped customer service center operated by Securus employees while GTL contract out a significant portion of its customer service.
iii. Securus has its trained technicians while GTL depends on contractors to carry out its operations who do not have the same commitment to serving their clients.
- Securus has also developed the largest VOIP calling platform in the world for correctional facilities which enables them to provide quality calling rates at lower rates as compared to GTL’s institution based platform.
